Moses was commanded to make a very special breastplate for the High Priest. It had 12 precious stones on it, one for each of the 12 Tribes of Israel (Exodus 28:15-21). The original breastplate was to be worn over the High Priest's heart, a reminder of his commitment to carry his people whole-heartedly and in love. As one wears the jewelry shown here, one is reminded today of the need to carry all of God's people in one's heart and to pray for them.
